PPC Audit

A full review of your Google Ads account

Most Google Ads accounts waste money in the same few places: broad match keywords with no negatives, conversion tracking that double-counts or misses sales, and budget spread across campaigns that will never pay back. A WebElev8 PPC audit is a one-off review of your account against the money going out of it. You get a written report showing where the spend is leaking, what it is costing you each month, and the specific changes that would fix it. There is no obligation to have us manage the account afterwards.

Why Choose Our PPC Audit Service?

We deliver measurable results that grow your business

01

Find the Wasted Spend

We identify the search terms, keywords, placements, and audiences taking budget without producing enquiries or sales, and put a monthly figure on it.

02

Check the Tracking First

Every audit starts with conversion tracking, because if that is wrong every other number in the account is wrong too. We confirm what is being counted and how.

03

Account Structure Review

We look at how campaigns, ad groups, and keywords are organised, and whether the structure is helping or fighting the way Google now serves ads.

04

Benchmarked Numbers

Your click-through rate, cost per click, conversion rate, and cost per acquisition are set against what is realistic for your sector and locations.

05

Quality Score Problems

Low Quality Scores raise what you pay per click. We show which keywords are affected and whether the cause is the ad, the landing page, or the keyword choice.

06

Prioritised Action List

The report ends with a ranked list of changes: quick wins first, then the larger structural work, each with the expected effect on cost or volume.

What's Included

Everything you need in one thorough package

Conversion Tracking Verification

We check that conversions fire once per genuine action, that phone calls and form submissions are both tracked, and that imported or offline conversions are set up correctly.

Search Terms Analysis

The actual searches that triggered your ads over the last few months are reviewed for irrelevant traffic, missing negative keywords, and match type problems.

Keyword and Bidding Review

We assess keyword relevance, match types, and the bidding strategy in use, and whether the account has enough conversion data for automated bidding to work.

Ad Copy and Assets

Responsive search ads, headlines, descriptions, and ad assets such as sitelinks and callouts are checked for coverage, relevance, and policy issues.

Landing Page Match

We check that each ad sends traffic to a page that matches the search, loads quickly, and has a clear next step, since this drives both Quality Score and conversion rate.

Budget and Bid Allocation

Spend is mapped against return by campaign so you can see which campaigns to protect, which to cap, and which to pause.

Competitor and Auction Insights

Auction insights and impression share data show how much of the available demand you are capturing and where competitors are taking it.

Settings and Wasted Options

Location targeting, the search partners and Display Network settings, ad scheduling, and device adjustments are checked for defaults that quietly spend money.

Our Process

A proven, structured approach to delivering results

Phase 01

Access and Goals

You give us view access to the Google Ads account and tell us what a lead or sale is worth to you. We agree the date range to review, usually the last three to six months.

Phase 02

Review the Account

We work through tracking, structure, search terms, keywords, ads, landing pages, budgets, and settings, recording each issue with the data behind it.

Phase 03

Report and Walkthrough

You receive the written report and a call to go through it. We explain what is costing you money now, what it adds up to, and the order to fix things in.

Phase 04

Your Choice

You can hand the report to your current provider or in-house team, ask us to make the changes on a one-off basis, or move to our ongoing management. There is no requirement to do any of these.

Frequently Asked Questions

How is a PPC audit different from PPC management?
An audit is a one-off review that tells you what is wrong with the account and what it is costing you. Management is an ongoing service where we run and improve the campaigns month to month. Many clients start with an audit to see the state of things, then decide whether to fix it themselves or have us take it on.
What do you need from me to run the audit?
View access to your Google Ads account, and ideally access to the linked Google Analytics property and Search Console. We also need to know what a lead or a sale is worth to you, so we can judge the numbers against real money rather than in the abstract.
Will you contact my current agency?
Only if you want us to. The audit is for you. Some clients use it to hold their current provider to account, others are managing the account in-house, and some have inherited an account from someone who has left. We report to you and you decide what happens next.
How much can an audit realistically save?
It depends on the account. Accounts that have been left on automatic settings or run without negative keywords often have 20 to 40 percent of spend going on searches that will never convert. Accounts that are already well managed may only need small adjustments. The audit gives you the real figure for your account rather than a promise.
How long does the audit take?
From the point we have access, a standard account takes about five to seven working days. Large accounts with many campaigns, or accounts running Shopping and Performance Max alongside search, take a little longer because there is more to review.
