Accessibility Statement
Our commitment to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities, and the concrete technical measures built into this website.
Summary of Accessibility Standards
- Target Standard: We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA standards across all public pages.
- Assistive Technology Support: Structured HTML5 landmarks, ARIA labels, skip-to-content links, and fully tab-accessible keyboard navigation.
- Visual & Motion Care: High-contrast colour ratios (minimum 4.5:1 for body copy), fluid text resizing up to 200%, and strict honouring of
prefers-reduced-motion. - Prompt Feedback & Assistance: If you experience any accessibility barrier, our team responds to alternative format requests within 2 business days.
1. Our Commitment
At WebElev8 (a trading name of Innovate Web Solutions), we believe the web must be accessible to everyone, regardless of disability, neurodiversity, or assistive technology used. As a web engineering and digital design studio, we hold our own site to the same high standards we recommend to our UK clients.
We are continually improving the user experience for everyone, applying relevant accessibility standards and monitoring updates to national and international regulations, including the UK Equality Act 2010.
2. Conformance Status
The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) defines requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA.
WebElev8 is partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 Level AA. “Partially conformant” means that almost all parts of the content fully conform to the standard, while some dynamic components (such as third-party interactive chat embeds or external map embeds) may occasionally have minor third-party limitations beyond our direct code control.
3. Technical Measures Taken
We have integrated accessibility directly into our frontend architecture and design system:
- Keyboard Navigability: All interactive elements, including buttons, modals, dropdown menus, and text inputs, are reachable and operable via the standard keyboard Tab and Enter keys, with distinct visible focus rings.
- Skip to Main Content: A dedicated skip navigation link allows keyboard and screen reader users to bypass header navigation and jump straight to the primary page content (#main-content).
- Colour Contrast: All text and core visual interfaces meet or exceed the WCAG AA minimum contrast ratio of 4.5:1 for normal text and 3:1 for large headings against their background.
- Respect for Reduced Motion: All CSS animations, auto-scroll tickers, and decorative particle effects automatically pause or simplify when a visitor’s system preference is set to
prefers-reduced-motion: reduce. - Text Scalability: Pages are responsive and can be zoomed up to 200% on standard desktop browsers without loss of content, clipped text, or overlapping elements.
- Semantic Document Outline: Every page maintains a logical single
<h1>hierarchy with sequentially nested<h2>through<h4>headings, helping screen reader users scan content quickly. - Form Usability: Form inputs feature explicit
<label>associations, inline descriptive validation errors, autocomplete attributes, and clear focus states.
4. Assistive Technology Compatibility
This website is designed to be compatible with:
- Modern versions of Google Chrome, Apple Safari, Mozilla Firefox, and Microsoft Edge.
- Screen readers including NVDA, JAWS on Windows, and VoiceOver on macOS and iOS.
- Operating system accessibility tools, including high-contrast modes and screen magnification software.
5. Known Limitations & Alternatives
Despite our best efforts to ensure complete accessibility across WebElev8, there may be occasional limitations:
Third-Party Customer Support Chat Widget:
Our interactive live-chat widget is supplied by a third-party vendor. While usable, certain dynamic focus transitions in the chat window may not yet meet the highest accessibility standards. If you encounter difficulty using the chat widget, please use our direct email or telephone channels below.
Complex Interactive Calculators:
Our cost estimator and interactive pricing calculators provide real-time updates. Screen reader users can request an itemised written quotation directly by phone or email without needing to operate the slider controls.
6. Assessment & Testing Approach
WebElev8 assesses accessibility through a combination of methods:
- Automated audits using Lighthouse and axe-core testing suites during our build pipelines.
- Manual keyboard-only navigation audits across all key landing, pricing, and contact pages.
- Screen reader testing with Apple VoiceOver and Windows NVDA to verify reading order and aria-label clarity.
- Periodic cross-browser and cross-device visual contrast checks.
7. Feedback & Contact Details
We welcome your feedback on the accessibility of WebElev8. If you encounter accessibility barriers, or need information from this site in an alternative format (such as accessible PDF, large print, or plain text):
Email Accessibility Support
hello@webelev8.co.ukWe aim to respond to accessibility inquiries within 2 working days.
8. Enforcement Procedure (UK)
The Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) is responsible for enforcing the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) (No. 2) Accessibility Regulations 2018 in the UK.
If you contact us with an accessibility complaint and you are not satisfied with how we respond, you can contact the Equality Advisory and Support Service (EASS) , which is an independent advisory body.
This statement was prepared on 6 September 2026. It is reviewed quarterly alongside our routine technical release cycles.
