What this service solves
Clear reasons to choose this work, based on what your business needs.
01
Zero Downtime
We migrate your site in the background while it remains live on your current host, only switching over once we have verified everything works perfectly on the new server.
02
Data Integrity Guaranteed
We verify checksums and database integrity at every stage of the migration process, guaranteeing that not a single file or database record is lost or corrupted.
03
All Platforms Supported
We migrate WordPress, Magento, Shopify, Drupal, Joomla, custom PHP applications, and any other web platform to or from virtually any hosting provider.
04
Post-Migration Testing
After migration, we run a thorough checklist covering functionality, forms, e-commerce, email, SSL, and performance to ensure everything works as expected.
05
Performance Improvement
Migrations to our hosting infrastructure typically result in noticeable performance improvements thanks to our optimised server configurations and modern hardware.
06
Dedicated Migration Manager
A named migration manager from our team will be your single point of contact throughout the process, keeping you informed and available to answer any questions.
What is included
The exact scope is agreed in your written quote before work starts.
Pre-Migration Audit
Before we touch anything, we audit your current hosting environment, identify any potential issues, and create a detailed migration plan with a clear timeline.
Full File & Database Migration
We migrate all website files, databases, email accounts, cron jobs, and server configurations, ensuring a complete and faithful copy of your current environment.
Email Migration
Migrate all email accounts and their stored messages to your new host, with no loss of historical emails and minimal disruption to your team's communications.
DNS Management
We handle DNS updates with care, timing the cutover to minimise the window during which new and old servers may serve different versions of your site.
SSL Certificate Transfer
We ensure your SSL certificate is correctly installed on the new server before DNS cutover, so your site is secure from the moment it goes live on the new host.
CMS & Database Optimisation
During migration, we take the opportunity to optimise your CMS installation, clean up the database, and apply any performance improvements relevant to the new environment.
Rollback Plan
Every migration comes with a documented rollback plan. If anything unexpected occurs, we can revert to your original hosting within minutes, with no data loss.
Post-Migration Support
After your site goes live on its new host, we provide 30 days of post-migration support to address any issues that may arise during the settling-in period.
How the work runs
You see what is happening, what comes next and what needs your approval.
Phase 01
Discovery & Planning
We gather access credentials, audit your current environment, identify any migration challenges, and produce a detailed migration plan with agreed timelines.
Phase 02
Environment Preparation
We set up your new hosting environment, configure the web server, create databases, and prepare everything to receive your website before moving any files.
Phase 03
Migration & Testing
Files and databases are copied to the new server and thoroughly tested via a temporary staging URL, checking all functionality before any DNS changes are made.
Phase 04
DNS Cutover & Go Live
Once testing is complete and you are happy, we update your DNS records, monitor propagation, and confirm your site is live and fully functional on its new home.

Frequently Asked Questions
How long does a website migration take?
Simple website migrations can be completed within a few hours. Larger sites with complex databases, e-commerce functionality, or custom server configurations may take one to three business days. We will give you a specific timeline estimate after reviewing your current setup.
Will my website experience any downtime during migration?
We aim for zero downtime on all migrations. By preparing the new environment and thoroughly testing it before making any DNS changes, your current site remains live throughout. There is typically a brief period of up to a few hours during DNS propagation where some visitors may see the old site and some the new one, but both will be functioning normally.
Can you migrate e-commerce stores with customer data and orders?
Yes. We regularly migrate WooCommerce, Magento, PrestaShop, and other e-commerce platforms, including all products, orders, customer accounts, and transaction history. We take particular care with e-commerce migrations to ensure payment gateways are reconfigured correctly on the new host.
What do you need from me to start the migration?
We need access credentials for your current hosting (FTP/SFTP, cPanel, or SSH) and access to your domain's DNS management. If you are migrating email, we will also need your mail server settings. Our migration manager will provide a clear checklist of everything required.
What if something goes wrong after migration?
We retain a full backup of your website from before the migration for a minimum of 30 days. If any issues arise, we can restore or re-migrate as needed. Our post-migration support period ensures we are on hand to resolve anything promptly.
